One baby profile, separate accounts
Shared baby tracking for partners and caregivers
Yes. One parent can create a seven-day invite code for a baby's profile. After another parent or caregiver accepts it on their own Wobble account, both can see and add baby logs. Updates appear on the other authorised iPhone after Wobble next syncs.
How do two parents share Wobble?
The parent who created the baby profile opens Settings and creates an invite code. The code expires after seven days. The other person accepts it while signed in to their own Wobble account, then joins the same baby profile.
Both members can see the baby’s profile and its baby-care logs, add new logs and edit the shared record. Entries carry authorship information, so Wobble can show who created an entry when the author changes in the timeline.
Invites need an internet connection. Ordinary logs are local-first, so either person can record something offline and Wobble will queue it to sync when a connection returns. The other phone receives it after that app next syncs, such as on foreground or manual refresh. Wobble does not promise that both screens change at the same second.
A realistic handover
One parent is returning from work. Before asking five tired questions, they open the shared timeline and check:
- when the last bottle or nursing session was recorded
- whether the last nappy was wet or dirty
- when the current nap started, if one is in progress
- which parent added the latest entry
The shared log gives them a starting point. It does not replace the useful part of the handover, such as “she has been unusually unsettled” or “call the doctor if this happens again”.
Does Wobble prevent duplicate logs?
No. Wobble shows the shared timeline and authorship, which makes it easier to check before adding something. It does not lock a time slot or decide that two similar entries must be the same event. That choice stays with the parents.
What does my partner see?
Members of a baby profile can see its profile and all baby-scoped logs. This includes feeds, sleep, nappies, solids and baby medication recorded there.
Some parts remain personal to each account:
- pumping and parent-medication records are user-scoped, not shared with a partner
- Ask Wobble chat history belongs to the account that asked the question
- each iPhone can show different colours for the same babies
The owner can remove a caregiver, and a caregiver can leave a baby profile. Wobble is not a professional rota, permissions or shift-management system. It offers a shared family timeline rather than separate workplace roles.
