Can baby tracking make parents more anxious?

Yes, for some parents. A log can reduce the strain of remembering and make handovers easier, but it can also create pressure to record everything or make a missed entry feel like failure. Research does not show that tracking causes anxiety in every parent.

Do baby tracking apps actually help?

Sometimes. A baby tracker can take a small memory job off your hands or keep two caregivers in step. It cannot diagnose a problem, make sleep safe or know what your baby needs next.

Do I need a baby tracking app?

Probably not by default. A baby tracking app can be useful when it answers a specific question, helps caregivers hand over, or keeps a record a clinician has asked for. If you can follow your baby’s cues and share the important details without a log, you may not need one. You certainly do not need to track everything.
